Outside is America (Blue sky edition)

I recently had the pleasure of making a private print for U2 and their crew when they performed at the Rogers Centre in Toronto as part of the Joshua Tree 30th Anniversary tour.  When I was asked to make a poster, I immediately thought of the trip my family and I took to Joshua Tree National Park in February.  It is a place filled with unspoiled beauty that truly is difficult to describe, you just really, really need to go and spend time there.

I took a lot of reference photos for future prints I wanted to work on while hiking in Joshua Tree.  The image in this print is from a photo I took close to dusk in the park.  I had the line from "Bullet the Blue Sky" off of the U2 album in my head a lot that day- "Outside is America", a line you can use isolated in so many different ways.  It inspired the photo and the print, and , little did I know then, a gift for the band!

What you see here is an art print edition of the image I used for the poster, sans words and venue information.   Printed in 3 layers, signed and numbered edition of 200, 18 x 24 inches.  These are available now in the shop.
